To check on your Researched Product Calculations or to create new Researched Product Calculation, click on the left hand navigation link.

This will show your list of existing Researched Product Calculations.

access the Profit Calculator, select the Profit Calculator icon from the left navigation and click on Researched Product Calculations.

This will take you to a list of your Researched Product Calculations. If you don’t have any existing calculations yet, this page will be empty.

If you have pages of Calculationscalculations, you can use the Filters to search for the one you want.

Just click on the blue bar to open the filter.

Enter in the details to search for, or choose from the drop down lists and click on Search. To return to the full list again, just click on Reset.

Alternatively, you can use the quick Search facility on the left. Just type in a few letters or numbers and only the Products with those letters or numbers will be shown highlighted in yellow.

Just delete to go back to the full list.

Clicking on the ASIN link will move you to the Common Information on the Researcher App. Full information can be found in the Researcher Application help pages.

Creating a new Researched Product Calculation

To create a new Researched Product Calculation, either click on the easy access + link from any page in the EcoSystem or click on the Create button when you are already in the Profit Calculator Application.

This will open a new page where you will need to select the relevant Product from the drop down list of your researched list of Products.

You will only have access to Researched Products that you haven’t created a calculation for. If the calculation already exists, you will need to edit or view instead.

Then you will need to give your Calculation a name in case you want to do more than one variable for the same Product.

This is a mandatory field and needs to be completed before saving.

Once you have selected the Product, the Stock Location will default to the Amazon Marketplace that you found your Product in. You can amend this if needed by choosing a different country from the drop down box.

The Sales Price will automatically populate with the relevant currency for the Stock Location showing. However, the default currency for the Cost Price will display in USD$. When inputting the Cost Price, if your Cost Price is in another currency, just select the correct currency from the drop down box.

For Researched Products, you are able to calculate the profit for all Marketplace currencies that we operate in. Once you Save After you have saved your calculation, you are still able to Edit edit the calculation and change the currency.

The calculations in all currencies can be seen for that Product from the View mode which is covered off in the View information further down.

Enter the dimensions and weight of your individual Researched Product.

The Units Per Outer and Duty Rate are automatically populated to default figures but can be amended and should be kept as accurate as possible, as this will affect your inward fulfilment cost per unit.

Please bear in mind the maximum Amazon limits for Units Per Outer/Master Carton. They advise that there should be no more than 150 units per Outer/Master Carton.

The duty rate will default to 5%, however please make sure you check the duty rate for your Product based on the commodity code. If a duty rate and tariff applies to your Product, enter in the total for both.

Note

Inputting an incorrect duty rate will affect your profitability calculation.

Once you have entered all the relevant information, click on Calculate and all the fields will be populated. You can Save this calculation or just click back on the Profit Calculator icon on the left navigation.

If you Save your calculation, you will be taken back to your list of Researched Product Calculations and your latest calculation will appear here.

Once you have created Live Product Calculations, you can choose to View, Edit or Delete them.

Viewing a Researched Product Calculation

When you click on Viewview, you will be able to view the calculation for your Product in various currencies. Just click on the Flag tabs to switch between the currencies. This will also change the Stock Location.

You are able to change the sales price, which will then recalculate your profit figures. Just type in the price you want to try and click on tab.

When you do, a blue button will appear asking if you want to save this new sales price. Click on it if you want to keep the price.

You will receive a confirmation that the sales price has been saved for your Researched Product.

The Cost Price shows two figures - the USD$ cost on the left and then the Stock Location currency on the right. If this happens to be the USA, then the two figures will be the same.

Editing a Researched Product Calculation

From your main Researched Product Calculations list, when you click on Editedit, you will be able to change all the editable fields on the left side and the Calculation Description.

Click on Calculate again to revise the if you have added in revised figures and then Save before exiting this Calculation, otherwise you will lose the information.

Note

If you change the information, when you Save, you will overwrite your original calculation even if you rename it.

Deleting a Researched Product Calculation

Clicking on Delete will just remove the Researched Product calculation from the list.

Note

When you click on delete, you won’t be asked if you really want to delete the product calculation, it will just be removed so please ensure you delete the correct calculation.
