Watch the video to see how to create, edit, view and delete a live product calculation.

To enter the Product Calculation part of the Profit Calculator, select the icon from the left navigation and click on Profit Calculator or Product Calculations.

Image Modified

This will take you to a list of your Live Product Calculations. If you don’t have any existing Product Calculations yet, the table of results will be empty.

If you have pages of Calculations, you can use the Filters to search for the one you want.

Image Modified

Clicking on the SKU link will move you to the Product Common Data page for that Product.

Image Modified

To create a new Product Calculation, click on the Create button.

Image Modified

This will open a new page where you will need to select the Product SKU from the drop down list of your current list of Products. Once you have selected the Product SKU, the individual dimensions are automatically populated.

If you have any information that needs amending, you will need to go back into your Product to change your live Product data. If you are not able to amend the live Product data, this generally means that you have either an existing replenishment or shipping order related to the live Product.

Once the shipping order has been processed, you will then be able to update your live Product data. If you need to urgently change your live Product data, you will need to contact support@marketplacesuperheroes.com

Then you will need to give your Calculation a name in case you want to do more than one variable for the same Product. This is a mandatory field and needs to be completed before saving.

Then select the Stock Location from the drop down box. The Sales Price will automatically populate with the relevant currency for the Stock Location you chose.

Note

When you originally created your Product, ensure that the Sales price was entered for all Marketplaces you will be selling in, otherwise your Product Calculation will not work as there will be no Sales price to work from.

Image Modified

The Units Per Outer and Duty Rate are automatically populated to default figures but can be amended and should be kept as accurate as possible, as this will affect your inward fulfilment cost per unit.

Please bear in mind the maximum Amazon limits for Units Per Outer/Master Carton. They advise that there should be no more than 150 units per Outer/Master Carton.

The duty rate will default to 5%, however please make sure you check the duty rate for your Product based on the commodity code. If a duty rate and tariff applies to your Product, enter in the total for both.

Note

Inputting an incorrect duty rate will affect your profitability calculation.

Click on Calculate and all the fields will be populated. You can Save this calculation or just click back on the Profit Calculator icon on the left navigation.

Image Modified

You will notice that if you choose a Stock Location other than the USA, the Cost Price will display in USD$ as well as the currency for the Stock Location. In the example shown below, there is the USD$ figure of $8 with the equivalent by the side for the UK.

Image Modified

If you Save your calculation, you will be taken back to your list of Live Product Calculations and your latest calculation will appear here.

Image Modified

Once you have created Live Product Calculations, you can choose to View, Edit or Delete them.

Image Modified

When you click on View, you will be taken to the Product Common Data where you will be able to view the calculation for your Product in various currencies depending on which Marketplaces you are selling in. Just click on the tabs across the top to switch between the currencies.

Image Modified

When you click on Edit, you will be able to change the Stock Location, Units Per Outer, Duty Rate and the Calculation Description. Click on Calculate again to revise the figures and then Save before exiting this Calculation, otherwise you will lose the information.

Note

If you change the information, when you Save, you will overwrite your original calculation even if you rename it.
