What you need to know
This section describes the prerequisites for using the Freight application. The data within the Ecosystem is linked in such a manner that data is entered in once, and the data is then reusable in all the applications within the Ecosystem. There are a few steps you need to complete before shipping from China.
When negotiating with your supplier, ensure these steps are carried out:
Agree FOB terms from Supplier to Freight warehouse in China;
FOB terms should be for Ningbo or Shenzhen.
So with all of that said, let’s get down to business. For your future shipment to qualify for shipping in a CC (Consolidated Container), there are a number of variables that must be met.
You must have a SRN (Shipping Reference Number) which you can get by following the process below:
The shipments will only leave from either Shenzhen (South) or Ningbo (North East).
Shipments must be FOB pricing from these ports.
You must upload your Purchase/Commercial Invoice and Packing list to your shipping order in the software application prior to loading.
We cannot load goods that do not have the above documentation uploaded, as these are required for export/import.
Creation Fees (formerly known as Terminal Fees)
This has now changed and is called a Creation Fee. The details are covered off in the Creation Fee section.
You will have the following costs on a shipment:
Sea Freight
Creation Fee
Duties & Taxes/VAT (if applicable).
The sea freight portion will be pre-paid and upon arrival you will then have an invoice created for the Creation Fee plus any applicable Duties and Taxes/VAT.

Consignee, Buyer, Importer, Delivery addresses are all made out as follows:
In order to get FOB costs, you may need to give your supplier the details of the warehouse that you want the goods delivered to.

Direct Shipments
We can accept direct shipments to our warehouse. Direct shipments are shipments that you organise yourself and do not make use of our consolidation service. You can send full containers (FCL), part containers (LCL) and Air express shipments to our warehouses. The latest charges for Direct Shipments can be found on the Pricing Guide.
An example of how direct shipments are calculated is as follows:
e.g. US warehouse - $95 plus $1 per carton in your order
So, for example, if you send 20 cartons to the US, you will be billed $115 i.e. $95 plus 20 times $1.
N.B. The cost quoted above is just an example as costs are liable to change without notice.
