What is CBM Rolling Average?
CBM Rolling Average is the average cost per cubic meter (CBM) of your Pre-bought freight from EnZone.
For example, if you bought 5 CBM at £640 and later you bought 10 CBM at £1,070, you would have purchased 15 CBM overall with a total cost of £1,710 (£640 + £1,070). This would mean that each CBM would have cost you an average of £114 i.e. £1,710 divided by 15. So in this example, the Rolling Average is £114.
You can see your Rolling Average at any time on your Account page in your Freight application.
Why do we have CBM Rolling Average?
In order to clear customs in various countries, we must provide details to the Government in relation to the current asset value of the goods.
This is simply the actual cost price plus the shipping portion at this point in the product’s life cycle.
The easiest methodology here is to use the average value paid for shipping.
