So with all of that said, let’s get down to business. For your future shipment to qualify for shipping in a CC (Consolidated Container), there are a number of variables that must be met.

You must have a SRN (Shipping Reference Number) which you can get by following the process below

...

:

  • The shipments will only leave from either Shenzhen (South) or Ningbo (North East);.

  • Shipments must be FOB pricing from these ports;

  • Your factory must have the goods delivered to the address within the 7 day consolidation window;

  • You must have "Pre-bought" CBM in order to use our containers;.

  • You must upload your Purchase/Commercial Invoice and Packing list to your shipping order in the software application prior to loading.

Note

We cannot load goods that do not have the above documentation uploaded, as these are required for export/import.

...

As we have already mentioned, we have the ability to “Pre-sell” space, or in other words you can “Pre-buy” space. This allows for a great reduction in pricing per cube and also allows you to future proof shipments. In order to take advantage of Pre-buying, part of this Pre-buy must be a future shipment i.e. you cannot Pre-buy 10 CBM and then immediately ship 10 CBM. Also your Pre-buy must cover at least 2 shipments.

The Pre-buy rates are excellent as you can see, and even for someone who may not be shipping “very much” we have the 5 CBM option which is only $900.

To Pre-buy freight, go to the Freight tab on the left side navigation and select CBM. You will be able to purchase Pre-buy credits from here.

Creation Fees (formerly known as Terminal Fees)

This has now changed and is called a Creation Fee. The details are covered off in the Creation Fee section.

You will have the following costs on a shipment:

  • Sea Freight;

  • Creation Fee;

  • Duties & Taxes/VAT (if applicable).

We can accept direct shipments to our warehouse. Direct shipments are shipments that you organise yourself and do not make use of our consolidation service. You can send full containers (FCL), part containers (LCL) , Air and Air express shipments to our warehouses. The latest charges for Direct Shipments can be found on the SHF Pricing Guide.

So, for example, if you send 20 cartons to the US, you will be billed $115 i.e. $95 plus 20 times $1.
