Create a new HS Code - Pro Order

Watch the step-by-step instructions to see how to request an HS Code for your Product from our Team.

In order to create a HS Code request, you will need the Product details and uses. Also, if you have an idea what the code should be, you can input this too.

To access the HS Code - Pro, from the Dashboard, click on the Solutions menu on the left navigation.

When you access the HS Code - Pro, the order summary page will show any orders previously created. If this is your first order, this page will be blank.

To create a new HS Code order, either:

  • Use the quick access menu from the top of any page in the EcoSystem;

  • From the HS Code - Pro summary page, click on Create in the top right corner of the page.

The cost per HS Code is shown in the top right side.

Select either Researched or Live Product and then select the Product from the drop down list. The Products available will be dependent on whether you selected Researched or Live.

If you select Researched Product, you will see the Product Description. If you select live Product and you have added a Product image in the common data, the image will be shown.

Researched Product

Live Product

The fields that you need to complete are exactly the same for a Live and Researched Product. The example shown below is for a Live Product.

If you have a Bonus Product, you can check the bonus product box and an additional tab will appear. This option is also available for the Researched Product.

  1. Add in the existing HS Code if you have one even if you are unsure whether it is correct or not. You are only able to input numbers and full stops in this field. This is not a mandatory field and can be left blank.

  2. Add in the HS Code Category from the dropdown box. The description to the right of this box gives you an idea of which category a Product should be in.

  3. Add in the material your Product is made of. If there is more than one material, break this down into a rough percentage of each material. So for example if the Product is a storage unit with both wood boxes and a metal frame, you could put Wood 70%, Metal 30%. Please make sure that the material percentages add up to 100%.

  4. Add in the descriptive name or purpose of your Product.

  5. Add in the function of your Product. This may seem obvious however, for some products, it’s not always clear what a product is used for and therefore, please ensure you explain in full to ensure correct coding.

  6. Add in how your Product will be packaged.

  7. If your Product is similar to another one on Amazon, you can input the ASIN number in here.

  8. Add in any General Notes or additional information that you may have.

  9. Upload any additional information or photos that you think will help the Admin Team. This could be a photo showing what your Product is used for if it is something a little unusual.

You can add in as many images as you want, just click on Add File. To delete a file, just click on the red bin icon.

If you click on the Bonus Product box, you will need to complete all the details.

Apart from the Bonus Product which you will need to enter, the rest of the fields are exactly the same as the main Product fields shown above and the mandatory fields are also the same.

If you try to continue without doing this, you will receive an error message.

If you change your mind about the Bonus Product, you can uncheck the box and the tab will be removed.

You will need to complete all the mandatory fields to continue. These are marked with a red asterisk (*). If you don’t know all the details yet but want to Save for later, we would suggest just inputting some holding information in the mandatory fields e.g. just a random word, Save and then return to complete the details in full before you submit for payment.

Once you have completed all the relevant fields, you can either:

  • Return to List without saving. This will take you back to the orders summary page;

  • Save the product without paying, which will take you back to the orders summary page. You can go back into the order at any time to continue to the payment page or delete;

  • Or you can click on Submit.

If you clicked on Submit, this will take you to the view order page prior to payment. Here, you will be able to view the details you have input and the cost for your order.

If you see something that needs amending, you will need to click on Edit to make a change. You can only Edit the details prior to paying. Once you have paid for your order, the Edit button will be removed.

Otherwise you can submit for payment.

If you have a coupon for your HS Code, you can select it from the drop down list.

Then check the box confirming the information is correct - you won’t be able to proceed until you do.

And click on submit for payment.  Once submitted, you won’t be able to edit the information.

If you have a 100% voucher, when you click on Submit for payment, your order will be successfully added and you will return to the Listing Orders page.

If you have a part payment voucher e.g. 50% off or are paying in full, you will arrive at the payments page.

Once you have made a payment, you will return to the HS Code Orders page and receive a confirmation notice with an order number for reference. Your order will then appear at the top of the list with a ‘Submitted’ status.

You can follow the order process and see the different Statuses and what they mean here.

Viewing a Completed Order

When the status changes to completed and the circle to the left is green, you can access the details by clicking on the view icon on the right.

This will show details of your order in a pop up window.

If you scroll down to the bottom of the pop up window, you will see the HS Code for each of the main marketplaces, a clickable HS Code Link, the duty rate and the tariff to be applied.

Please remember:

You will receive the HS Code for the 4 main marketplaces, you are able to use this for other marketplaces, however, please be aware that there may be a slight difference for each marketplace which you can check on the Commodity Codes/HS Code page in the SuperHero Freight Resource Guide.
