Create Researched Products
Watch the video to see how to manually add, view, edit and delete a Researched Product in the EcoSystem.
Using the MPSH Research Chrome Extension
The easiest way to create your new Researched Products is to utilise the MPSH Research Chrome Extension. This will only work on Chrome and will allow you to add Products from the Amazon Marketplace directly into your Researcher Application. You will need to download the app first by clicking on the link as shown below.
The Chrome Extension web store will open and the Researcher Chrome Extension will be available to install. Download the App and log in using your MPSH credentials (see MPSH Ignite Phase 1/Section 3/Video 7).
The Researcher Chrome Extension will show as an icon at the top of the page.
Open the Amazon web page and the listing that you are researching. Make sure you are logged onto your MPSH account.
You need to have clicked on a single Product to use the Extension otherwise you will get an error message. This will appear if, for example, you have 3 products showing on the page rather than selecting a single product.
Once you are on the relevant page, click on the MPSH icon at the top of the page and the product details will appear in the box. Click on Save to MPSH Researcher Application.
A message will appear to advise the product was successfully saved. If the product already exists, a message will appear advising that a product with the same ASIN has already been added to the Researcher Application.
The product details will automatically be saved onto the Researcher Application. Just refresh your page if the product does not immediately appear.
Manually Create a new Researched Product
Watch how to manually create a new Researched Product.
If you don’t want to use the Chrome App, you can manually create a new Researched Product from the Researcher page. There are 2 ways to do this. You can either:
Click on the Create button on the top right of the page or
Use the quick create menu at the top of the page.
Clicking on either option will bring up the Create Researched Products page.
Ensure you add in all the mandatory fields that have a * - you will not be able to continue until you do. The fields are:
Description - add in the description from Amazon.
Nickname - create a reference that is meaningful to you. If you don’t fill out this field, the first 30 characters of the Description will be used to create the Nickname.
ASIN - input the ASIN from Amazon.
Amazon Site - select the Amazon Site you have researched in.
Category - select the Category from the drop down list that you found the product in.
Sales Price - enter the Sales Price from Amazon.
BSR - enter the BSR from Amazon.
Suppliers - if you know the Supplier that you would like to source the product from, you can link the product to the Suppler by selecting from your list of Suppliers or you can create a new Supplier that you are negotiating with. If not, this can be added at a later date.
Notes - enter in any general notes that you want to keep track of for this Product.
Once you have input all the information, click on Save to store the information. If you don’t, all the information that you input will be lost.
You will notice that if you added on a Supplier during this process, on the summary page, the Suppliers linked to researched products icon will have turned blue.
