Product Information
Introduction
AÂ Product is the item you are investing in and offering to customers for sale. A Product entered into the Ecosystem is linked to the Supplier you are purchasing the Product from.
If you are offering Wholesale Products as well as Private Label, you are now able to add these into the EcoSystem.
The Product Common Data section allows you to enter and maintain all your product relevant information related to your business. This enables you to only enter this data once, and it is readily available in other applications within the Ecosystem.
Note - The information entered for your Product needs to be correct and up to date. This information is used in other applications such as Freight application, Profit Calculator and many more. Also the details entered for your Product will be used by the Freight team for importing your Products.
Where is the Product Data used
Freight Application - In order to create an SRN, view current stock and send replenishments into Amazon, your Product needs to be captured correctly in the Product Common Data. The cost price entered for the Product is important, as this is used when transferring stock between warehouses and it is used to calculate the duty costs of the Product.
Profit Calculator - The Profit Calculator uses the product dimensions, weight, cost price and sales price you have entered into your Product Common Data.
Software Suite applications - All of the software suite applications use the Product Common Data. For example, the Sales Invoicing application allows you to select the product you need to create an invoice for. Refer to each of the individual applications for detailed information.
The Marketplace section has been updated to include a tax status for your Product. This is mandatory when creating a new Product but for existing Products, until you change the status, a tax included status will be applied. This may affect the figures on your Sales Invoice until you have updated the tax status in your Product Common Data.
The Product Common Data section can be accessed through the Ecosystem Home page by selecting Products on the top navigation panel.
Your list of Products will be displayed and you will be able to view a summary of the details entered for a specific product.
You can see the status of a Product by hovering over the Product line with your cursor. The status bar at the top will show you what each of the coloured statuses mean.
If you want to find a Product quickly, you can use the filters to search. Just click anywhere on the blue band to open the filters.
You can search for more than one field at a time.
For example, you could search all Active Products sourced from one of your Suppliers. Just select the Supplier from the dropdown list and the Status of the Product and then click on Search.
Just click on Reset to clear your search.
Alternatively, you can use the quick search function to look for a Product on the page you are on. Just type in a few letters or numbers and the result will then list all the Products with that search criteria and the characters you input will be highlighted in yellow.
