Scripts

When you’re communicating with your Suppliers, whether it’s for the first time or ongoing similar conversations, it’s always useful to have a Script that you can use so you’re not having to create new wording each time you want to send a message out.

The different communications could be an email to introduce yourself to a Supplier, follow up reminders regarding samples, order specifications or delivery timescales. In order to save you time writing this out each time, you can use Scripts to help you.

Scripts is located within the Communicator App. Just select from the left hand navigation.

This will take you to the Scripts List page. You will find that there are some Script templates already added in for you to use when you first visit this area.

To create a new Script, simple click on the Create New Script button.

This will open up a blank Script with three fields to complete. All of the fields are mandatory.

  • Type in the Body of the Script - the main wording you will use.

  • Select the Type of communication from the drop down box - the choices are Private Label or Invasion.

  • Input the Title of your Script - this will be what you are sending a message about e.g. Initial contact or perhaps Sample request.

When all the details have been input, click on Save. This will take you back to your Scripts List.

From the Scripts List page, there are Admin Scripts that are automatically provided with your Account. These have a green tick against them.

You are not able to delete the Admin Scripts, you can only download these. However, when you download, you are able to copy and paste the words and use them as a starting point for a new communication script of your own.

The Scripts that you created have a red cross by them and can be downloaded, edited or deleted. Just click on the icons to the right.

Remember to Save the information - this will return you to the Scripts List.

You can sort your Scripts using the up and down arrows by each column heading. This is useful if you start to build a considerable number of Scripts.

You can also search for key words if you are trying to track down a particular Script. This will look at the whole document, not just the Title.
